Onboarding made easy

In Germany, paysafecard has been working with a new software solution for the Know Your Customer (KYC) process since July. The Authada app cuts onboarding time by more than half.

Since 2010, new ID cards with a chip for electronic identification (eID) have been issued in Germany. 64 million are already in circulation. paysafecard uses this fact to significantly accelerate the onboarding process for "my paysafecard" in Germany with the new software. With the Authada app, the NFC chip of the new ID card can be read with any NFC-enabled Android device, for example with a smartphone. Anyone who wants to open a "my paysafecard" account just holds his ID card on the back of his mobile phone. After entering a PIN, which is supplied when the ID card is issued the smartphone transmits the data stored on the chip within seconds. All that remains is to add the e-mail address, telephone number and "my paysafecard" access data and registration of the account is complete.
